Case studies of my work
Jenny Brough Lane, Hessle
I was commissioned to design a new “forever home” for a family in Hessle, East Yorkshire. As a newly built property, the brief was to transform a blank canvas into a space rich in character, warmth and personality.
I developed a series of cohesive design schemes that introduced depth and individuality through the considered use of panelling, colour, wallpaper and the client’s own wonderful art collection. Every element was carefully selected to create a home that felt both refined and deeply personal.
Sanderstead, South Croydon
I led the renovation of an Edwardian family home in South Croydon, transforming its dated interiors into a contemporary space that balances modern family living with the property’s original character.
We focused on restoring period integrity while introducing a fresh, practical layout. Traditional details such as reinstated coving and cast iron radiators were carefully incorporated to celebrate the home’s heritage, while a considered use of colour brought warmth, energy and a sense of playfulness suited to family life.
Bespoke joinery was designed throughout to maximise storage and improve functionality. I introduced a new layered lighting design which improved the overall feeling of warmth and ambience across the home.
I specified and sourced all finishes, including flooring, furniture, window dressings, bespoke headboards and artwork, ensuring a cohesive and polished result. I brought in a team of trades, I briefed and collaborated with all contractors to work through and resolve any issues, ensure all work was delivered to the highest standard, and saw the project through to completion.
West ella road, Kirk Ella
I fully redesigned a five bedroom family home in Kirk Ella, East Yorkshire. Working end-to-end, I sourced and procured all furniture, lighting, fixtures and fittings, alongside designing bespoke joinery to enhance both functionality and flow within each space. Custom-made window dressings provided a tailored finish, bringing cohesion and softness throughout the home. I managed the budget for purchasing and trade costs, ensuring the project was delivered within the agreed total.
I assembled and managed a trusted team of trades, overseeing the entire process from initial concept through to final installation and styling.
Malton, North Yorkshire
I redesigned a master bedroom and ensuite bathroom in a beautiful Edwardian home in Malton. I developed a fresh, new scheme which was in keeping with the architecture of the building. William Morris wallpaper, panelling, a ceiling rose and a tile mural added character and interest while bespoke fitted joinery created improved storage space.
I managed the budget and brought in a team of trades to carry out the work, coordinating each contractor and briefing them to realise the design vision accurately and to an impeccable standard.
