Claire Alexandra Communications
Freelance PR & Communications Support
I help brands tell the right stories—and get them in front of the right people.
With 15 years’ experience in consumer PR, I work with brands who want thoughtful, strategic communications support without the overhead of a large agency. I offer flexible freelance support across campaigns, launches and ongoing PR—bringing senior-level thinking with hands-on delivery.
Approach
Having worked both agency-side and in-house, and now running my own interior design studio, I bring a dual perspective—understanding both how PR works and what clients actually need from it.
I still utilise my project management and client services skills, as part of running my studio.
I’m collaborative, hands-on and pragmatic. I focus on work that is strategically robust, creatively strong and capable of delivering real results—not just noise.

Experience
From 2003 until 2018, I worked at leading London agencies including Blue Rubicon (now Teneo), Lexis (now Text100) and Hill & Knowlton. I also headed up the communications team at Firebox.com for four years.
During that time, I led high-impact campaigns for major brands such as Sainsbury’s, O2, Unilever, DFS, Diet Coke, British Gas, Lloyds Banking Group, The Open University, lastminute.com and Hamleys. My work has focused on shaping brand perception, building trust and delivering measurable commercial results.
I specialise in brand strategy, messaging and campaign development, alongside hands-on delivery across press outreach, product placement, influencer partnerships and social media. I’m particularly experienced in translating brand stories into compelling, coverage-driving ideas that resonate with the right audiences.
Alongside campaign delivery, I’ve built and maintained strong client relationships, managed budgets, and led teams to deliver work to a high standard. My approach combines strategic thinking with practical execution—ensuring campaigns are not only creative, but effective.
I now offer freelance PR support, bringing agency-level experience with a flexible, collaborative approach.
